Today on May 18th, 2026 - the second parliament session of the coalition-led government was to be held at 9 PM. 3 MPs casted their vote to hold the session at this time, with only one opposing vote.
Out of these three MPs; only two were present- President Kursankt, and the Prime Minister, Viscosity777. The Mayor, JeskiaWeathers, did not show up despite agreeing to the select time.
Aside from that; members of the opposition - and more importantly, their leader, Katarina, failed to make an appearance as well. It begs the question of how authentic their commitment is towards paving the way for a more prosperous future.
It is worth recalling that Stattenheim was a nation playing an important role in the Presidential elections - they were endorsing the TUP and being very critical of the SDP's controversial leader; Kursankt (then-named MikeHawk and NathanielArcher).
Despite their statements, the outcome of the election was not unfavorable for the SDP's leader, just as it wasn't back in 2023. The question still remains - if they thought the TUP was the best choice for Demarcia, would they say the same with their current presentation - or lack thereof?
We have entered into rather unknown waters - the days before, during, and after the election were unpredictable, and the headings at the time only grew in absurdity and flame.
Yet, we persist. The Social Democratic Party gave promises to the People. And the Demarcian voter knows these promises were hardly broken during our previous governance. And the SDP will do what is in their power to continue upholding that reputation- to continue fostering that trust.
